Mission
To transform the existing chronic Substance Disease Care Process using SBIRT (Screening/ Brief/ Intervention/ Referral to Treatment) consulting to save and improve lives and lower costs.
Quality substance abuse care is practiced as a part of routine medical care resulting in increased identification with fewer relapses and deaths.
Vision
Coach’s Story and Handbook Volume 1 - Substance Abuse and The Silent Sufferers by Greg Wince is the catalyst driving Champions Substance Recovery Systems (CSRS).
In this country, we are in dire need of “more, broader, earlier, kinder, faster, better, longer” ways for folks with alcohol and other substance abuse disorders.
Over nine in ten people with a substance use disease never get help. Only one in ten people who are diagnosed receive any type of specialized medical treatment. And over half of all people diagnosed with a substance disorder relapse within the first year after initial treatment.
The key changes needed are to incorporate addiction screening, brief intervention and treatment to mainstream medical practices, providing longer chronic care support and monitoring, and establishing appropriate performance measurement and analytics.
